Course Description

This course is designed to provide the knowledge, skills & attitudes of an individual to become competent as Transmission and Distribution Lineman in accordance with industry standards. Upon completion of this course, the graduates will be able to work in the Power Sector where they can perform services such as: providing connections to domestic households, carrying out maintenance of distribution substation and distribution system & carrying out installation of distribution lines. In the process of performing different services, the lineman will be able to demonstrate professionalism and safety practices. The usage of suitable tools, equipment & instruments with a correct attitude shall act as a factor of merit in completing the task. To obtain the qualification of Transmission and Distribution Lineman NC2, all learning outcomes prescribed for this qualification must be achieved.
