About Our Institute

Welcome to JWPTI

Jigme Wangchuck Power Training Institute (JWPTI) then Vocational Training Institute, Sershong (VTI Sershong) was established in 2009. Later in 2012, it was renamed as Sershong Institute of Civil Engineering (SICE) to focus on the centre of excellence for civil engineering. From 2013, it was renamed as Technical Training Institute Sershong (TTI Sershong) with a plan to maintain uniformity across the technical training institutions. However, in 2014 the institute was once again renamed the Jigme Wangchuck Power Training Institute & was once awarded as the best training institute.
